Junghyun Kim is a curator and researcher based between New York and Seoul. Her practice explores the evolving relationship between technology, ecology, and contemporary image-making, with a particular focus on media art. She approaches curating as a form of interdisciplinary research and dialogue, often working across exhibitions, publications, and collaborative platforms. Through close engagement with artists and scholars, she explores how the evolving landscape of digital culture informs aesthetic and political imaginaries.
Kim previously worked as a curator at the Seoul Museum of Art, where she organized exhibitions focusing contemporary art-making practices and knowledge exchanges. Her projects often extend beyond the exhibition space to include editorial work, public programming and academic symposium. She is a member of Association of Art Museum Curators (AAMC) and participated International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in 2022, and she has been selected by prestigious organizations such as the Korean Art Council, Doosan Yonkang Foundation and Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture.
